ICMA-RC, ICMA, International City/County Management Association closes or loses accounts without disbursing anywhere near all funds

I had a portion of my salary deferred in a 457K account with ICMA. Since retirement, I have left most of the funds in the account.

Today when I proceeded to log into my ICMA account online, I realized I had forgotten my user id. I followed instructions to retrieve it. This generated a form to reset the id. I entered needed information on this form with a url beginning with https. After I clicked on submit, the system displayed, in red lettering
No records were found matching the identifying information that you have entered.

The account that ICMA deleted had several thousands of dollars remaining.
