On may 21st 2011 approx 11.30 pm i was staying at a weekly hotel in newport news virginia the rent was 233.00 per week. I needed 120.00 to pay rent so i went to an atm owned by vcom at 7-11 on jefferson ave nn va the machine would not dispense my money so you can imagine my great surprise the next day when my computer showed the money had been taken from my moneygram card. After numerous calls to v-com at 1 800 711 3918 i finally arranged a three way call between vcom atm and moneygram customer servive at 1 866 674 0131 v-com at that point did what they could including faxing a letter twice saying i did not receive funds and that Moneygram should return my 120.00 this letter was faxed twice to1-801-298-6404. Vcom also did a reversal at this point which moneygram daid would take 3-5 working days to occur.
WELL THE FIFTH DAY WAS FRIDAY AND ITS NOW SUNDAY AND NO MONEY HAS BEEN RETURNED ON THE 22ND OF MAY MY RENT BECAME DUE AT THE WEEKLY HOTEL AND WE WERE THROWN OUT OF OUR PLACE TO LIVE AND TOLD WE HAD TO REMOVE OUR THINGS AND LEAVE I HAD MONEYGRAM ON THE PHONE AT THE TIME AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD FAX IN HAND SAYING A REVERSAL WAS IN PROGRESS!!! In the past week moneygram keeps informing me by email at my account message center to call 1-866-674-0131 if i have more questions and each time they charged me 2.00 per call taking my account down to our last. 54 cents they finally refunded 3 calls for 6.00 but my 120.00 is gone. I am just a simple customer and have done nothing wrong in fact my line of work is raising money for needy children in the usa
I dont believe my wife and should have to suffer to get our own money back moneygram absolutely knew we wqere being evicted and did absolutely nothing to expedite the moneys return and vcom has done everything they could they reversed the money back to moneygram and have sent two documented faxes to metabank who is the card provider for moneygram visa card moneygram visa has about zero heart i am a veteran of the usa [tomorrows veterans day] i raise money for needy children and i have been used and abused by moneygram visa. I guess buyer beware of this company moneygram visa and vcom atm 7-11 if they cant implement procedures that will preventing this from happening to simple customers like me while they make a living off the fees they charge!!!
