American Health Care & Partners In Health Care
Health Insurance Fraud

In Feb my Cobra referred me to coveredcolorado.com for health insurance. I went online and signed up to be contacted. I was contacted by Ryan w/American Health Care and he gave me all the information about my benefits inclusing prescription, doctor visits, lab work. Said my policy would be with Blue Cross Blue Shield. I would be getting one free eye exam a years and 60% off on frames; two dental cleanings per year and 60% off on any dental procedures; no pre existing conditions; $20 for doctor visits and $30 for specialists and the list goes on. It would cost $99 for the initiation fee which would guarantee the rates not to go up for five full years and my rates would be $198 per month. He also mentioned that in addition to my health insurance, I would be getting some deal where I'd get discounts at Walmart for 40% off on vitamins, free legal aid and lots of other discounts. Sounds like a good deal for someone desperately needing insurance.

In February they deducted from my checking account $297.00 for the first month payment and the $99 initiation fee. I received a packet in the mail from Partners In Health Care, 1033 W College Ave., Ste 103, Appleton, WI with information on saving money on legal aid, prescriptions, visits, etc but no insurance cards. I called Ryan at the number I talked to him at 877-209-0065 and after finally getting through, I asked him where my insurance card and prescription card were that he promised me as I would like to make a doctor appointment and get reimbursed for prescriptions. He said I should have gotten it and it would be in the mail immediately.By then it was March and another $198 was deducted from my checking account. I got in the mail another envelope from Partners In Health Care with all the discount information in it with no insurance and prescription cards.

I tried calling back Ryan at the above number and it only allows me to leave a message.in fact, when I signed up, I asked them to only take out the initial payment and then send me a coupon book so I can pay with check. I never authorized any other deductions which are still being taken out of my checking account.

I'm without insurance and out all this money and wondered what recourses I may have to get reimbursed for this fraudulant matter and get affordable insurance with a reliable company.
