The Monring Star Baptist Church Of Erie, Pa hired Preferred Tax Relief of Century Park east, Los Angeles Ca. 9007 to settle a IRS levy for back taxes of emplyees at the Church. Since hiring this service, we have received an additional two notices from the IRS and also had our property under lean by the IRS.
Preferred Tax relief asked for the power of negotiate and settle our tax problem for an amount of 3,000 dollars! Since hiring this service over 6 months ago there has been no action taken or communication made unless it was through our Trustees Board calling them. Even here we get the run around and told that they are making progress! As a new Pastor, I met and taled with the IRS and also investigated the services of Preferred tax Relief online. They do not have a good reputation and the kind of thing that is happening to us has happened to many others!
I tried contacting the PTS and I do not get a response. The IRS states that they will not negotiate a payment plan or settlement with the Church because the power of legal negotiation was given to the Prefeered tax Relief by us. So in order to do anything on our end, we must send a certified letter to the PTS stating that we want to cancel our agreement.
At this point we may have lost 3,000 dollars and no way to recover it unless taking other legal action on a local level and talking to our state Senator.
Our Tax problem is now our own as it started out in the first place. It was the action of desperate congregation members that trusted this Service. As their new Pastor I am working to save their Church from being taken!
