I went to this church, first baptist churchof sterling a couple times and after going there a few times i saw the warning signs that something just wasn't right.
I guess the church is ran bysome bishop patterson (don't know da first name?) I'm new to this area and someone in centreville where I was working for the day. Its a nice setting and all. Just the bishop seems kind of weird. It just seemed kind ofout of placethat there's a big space yet alot of it is empty for sermons,
I was discussing religious with a guy down in ashburn (nearby sterling) and he told me that the church is kind of weird. People have seen the warning signs. There are tons of baptist churches around northern virginia that are probably good with bishops that care about people comin to this church. I only wish that this church was like that, its nice and all...
Personally i wouldn't recommend the first baptist church of sterling, go at your own risk and judge for yourself, otherwise take my advice and go somewhere where the people runnin the place care. I would've gone to the church next door. But its not baptist lol..
