I, too, applied for a remodification loan in june. I have applied 4 more times since, as chase keeps dropping me and not notifying me of their decision, then asking me for the back money, and whole process starts over. They have repeatedly asked for the same paperwork over and over, and/or new paperwork. My last reapplication was march and no less than 3 more times since requested the same or new paperwork. This has cost me more than 100 dollars in faxed paperwork to them, at their request, they prefer fax to mail, and i'm using the local library. They will not allow me to pay any of the mortgage at all since june although at one point, they requested 700 approx. Dollars a month, which i mailed and on the 2nd payment mailed it back to me stating they could not accept any money till decision was made, and i am still waiting. I have been told repeatedly by chase and gov't help programs that I qualify for this lowered mortgage program, but that does't seem to mean anything at all to chase. I have lived in my home for 32 plus years, am hearing impaired, and talking on the phone with them is a nightmare, they leve messages sometimes, and i call back, only to have a recorded voice tell me to call back later, than hang up on me. That has happened repeatedly since last friday, when someone from chase named "betty", called and told me to get back to her as it was "very important". 6 plus days later, i still can't reach her, or any other chase number, all have the same recorded hangup message. I have even offered to pay the arrears with my pension, and been told I can't do it, and they would have to "reinstate" the loan and I would have to pay their lawyers fees. I am deeply depressed over this whole sorry situation, and don't know who or where to go to for help. I did write to pres. Obama 9 months ago, with a follow up letter, but got no response. He does not get my vote in future. This is a mess. Worked 42 years, been widowed for 29 years, raised 2 sons alone, had my hours cut at work, and now in this situation. Went to channell 3 on your side, and was told to "sell my home immediately, or chase will take it." that was their idea of help. I see on their commercial, that chase brags about "helping over two hundred customers get home remod loans, but what about us millions more that qualify and have applied? And who are these drop in the bucket two hundred thousand? Let's see some real numbers of this sorry program. How many applications, how many approvals, and under what conditions? Who are these chase representatives when your lucky enough to reach one, who can't or won't tell you anything? Somebody help me please' or God help us all. Thank you for listening'
