On october 29th I receive a call from coast to coast mastercard claiming they could help me fiancially by offering me a mastercard with a limit of 2500. I thought great. My car had been sitting at home and needed about $1000 in repairs. So I figured I would put it on the card then pay it off slowly. The catch was that I would have to pay 299 for a "Processing fee". I didn't have the money but they said they could set a later date which would be november the seventh. So I figure okay.
My account got debited the 299 as agreed. My card was to follow 2-4 weeks later. After 4.5 weeks I called their customer service number 866-517 7466. I was told that there were some problems processing and my card had just been sent out the previous day. Another two weeks went by and still nothing. I decided to investigate them.
That's when I was fortunate to find this site. I then discovered similar practices by other companies. I followed this sites advise and told my bank it was an unathorized charge. A week and a half after contacting the bank coast to coast sent me a vacation package and an application for a saved value mastercard. Thats not what I paid for I am still in the process of getting my refund and I will not let them get off easy.
