Foreclosure Defense Law Center Total Ripoff

I contacted Foreclosure Defense Law Center now Friedlander Law Center in May to work out a loan modification for my first and second with my mortgage holder Wells Fargo. They were eager to represent me and more eager to take my $2000. Well here we are almost 2 years later, I have just completed the modification on my second. The first was done a year ago.in those 2 years to complete my modifications I've gone through 4 "representatives", Ernest Thomas, Alvin Clark, Julio C. Vallez, and Alex Medina in that order. Of those 4 individuals I've received 7 emails and probably the same number of phone calls. Each and every one of those contacts told me how much they were doing for me but it would take some time. Never once did I get a call congratulating me on getting my loan mod. And how did I find out my "representative" had changed? I'd email them and the email would bounce back or I'd call and was told the person was no longer with the firm. No one ever contacted me telling me I had a new rep. I did have the "pleasure" of speaking directly to Lee Friedland during an episode where I was asking for a refund. He was a fast talker and a great salesman. Not much of a lawyer, but a great salesman.

So how did I get my loan mods? Easy, I called the bank directly and worked with them. It took time and a bit of frustration when they asked for the same documents to be faxed multiple times. But in both cases I did it, not the scam artists listed above. The first thing I did when talking to the bank is asked them if they have been contacted by the Foreclosure Defense or Friedlander Law Centers. I asked this multiple times for the first and was told they haven't been negotiating with anyone but me. When I took that back to my "representative" they always responded that one part of the bank doesn't know what the other is doing. Which was strange because I would always ask the bank rep I was dealing with to document something. When I called back to the bankat a different time talking to a different rep they always had it documented.

Bottom line, these guys are a ripoff. Whatever they promise you it's not going to happen. Whatever money you give them you're not getting back. I've written my $2000 off as an expensive lesson. Anything these idots can do you can do better and faster. The reason they give to use their services is they deal in a lot of loans and have contacts at the bank to expedite things. They may have contacts at all the banks but I don't think the janitor should count. They did nothing for me other than making what should have been a 6 month process into a 2 year process. A year and a half wasted waiting/hoping these idots would do something.
