Is suing me for non-payment of account even though this account was paid three years ago!

I paid Household Bank in November.in December I received a letter from an attorney that they were suing me for non-payment of my account. One credit bureau reports that his account was paid but two show it is still owed! I've sent copies of my receipts but still have not heard anymore. What next??
