OK folks, I've seen enough. I thought I had problems with Capital One... But after reading so many reports about them here I've decided my issues are minor compared to others who are unhappy with this joke of a company. Here's what I recommend you do:
Call their main switchboard at (703) 720-1000 and ask for Catherine West. She's apparently the new president of the company. If the receptionist get's snippy with you, then ask for Todd Ambrose, her "executive assistant". Just tell the receptionist that Todd is expecting your call.
You should keep calling until you get through to Todd. When you do, you tell him you want action and you want Ms. West to be personally involved with your problem. Tell Todd you DON'T want some underling to handle your problem. Tell Todd you will not let some so-called "executive staff member" to handle your issue. Believe me, those people are nothing more than "policy parrots" who are only capable of reading and quoting from policy manuals.
If you get threatened with Capital One shutting down your account because of your repeated calls, be sure to report that here on this website.in fact, after reading so many other reports here, I'm wondering why ANYBODY would want to keep their Capital One account open in the first place!
Call them, folks. Tired of the hassle? Call them and hassle THEM until they relent. Take names. Take numbers. Report back here and keep the pressure up.
