On Thursday December 16, I visited the Insurance and Bookerage Company located at 2415 East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx. I asked the lady in the front could she notarize a document for me because she did before and she said, o.K. #3.00. I said, I told you the last time I was here that it was illegal to charge more than $2.00, I know because I am a notary too, but I cannot notarize my own documents. Her boss got up and walked to the back into another office I guess. She gave me back $1.00 and then said, "I can't notarize for you since you said you are going to have to report me; you see my boss left and went into the back now I am in trouble." I said, if you do the notary for the correct price I will not report you. She mentioned that I was getting her in trouble with her boss and I said, well he should not allow you to over charge people and then there wouldn't be a problems. She pushed me back my two dollars and I said, I am going to have to report you. I have a copy of the document she notarized somewhere, but I cannot find right now. Therefore, I cannot give her name, but when I remember what she notarized then I can locate the document I will right and give her name.
