I ordered a gun online for a holiday gift, but it wasn't in stock and wouldn't arrive in time, so I cancelled the order. Buds Gunshop said nothing had been charged to the card. Meanwhile, my statement showed the full amount had in fact been charged - but no item was ever shipped or received.
When I called the store, they assured me the charge hadn't gone through, when in reality it had. I eventually had to file a dispute with my credit card company, which takes 6-8 months to resolve. Right now I have about a $500 charge on my card for something I never received, simply because they wouldn't be honest and just refund the charge.
