Midland Mortgage
Was it legal?

I had dealings with Midland and not a happy one at that. I called before my first payment was going to be late due to unemployement. I kept in contact for 2 months until I obtined a job. The new job was considerable less in pay! I was told I needed to make more money to make my curent payments. I tried unsuccessfully to have it modified to be affordable. I was a year late when the government rolled out thier new modification program. Midland wanted to modify my loan to 75% of my income not the 31% the government offered. I was told there would be no modification and the house would go to sale in 3 days. I was then told that i had 10 days to move. So I moved and cancelled my insurance. They tried to add on insurance to a loan that went up for sale 3 weeks earlier. Well they postponed the sale and did not notify me. I was told it was my job to call THIER attorny! To this date I have not recieved any notification that I no longer owned my home. I also never saw it in the paper. Thier attorny told be it was published in some bussness paper I have never heard of. So I am pissed!!! Where do I turn? I cannot afford an attorny. I know it was not done legally and I want my house back! It has since sold for far less then I owed. I can say that I really tried to make payments that i could afford on my new income. They were not wanting to help. I sent countless letters asking for a payment reduction for 3-5 years and was told NO. I am single and work hard and have lost it all. The house, The credit and my sanctity! Help!!!
