I researched Janian and Associates last March when I was looking for help in trying to restructure my mortgage, I was facing foreclosure and I was looking for a law firm with experience to help me. I contacted a Anne Correa at Janian, she explained to me that Janian was a very experienced and trust worthy law firm who specialized in loan restructures to stave off foreclosures. I listened and was told for $2900.00, Janain could save my home and all I needed, unlike others, was a "simple" loan restructure and it would be fairly easy and quick. I went ahead and signed up, PAID my money and waited to be contacted. After several attempts by me to get someone to work with me I did get a clerk who sent me a packet of information to fill out. I did that and over nighted it to Janian. I was then contacted by two different people asking for the same info. I again contacted Anne who some what cleared that up. I never heard from them again until June time frame when a Kamili who was my negotiator contacted me via email asking for more documents. I supplied then to her again (I did this 4 times overall) and she informed me she would get to work. Never heard another thing from her. I again contacted Anne and she told me that Kamili no longer worked for Janian and I would have another negotiator. This happened until we were in late July with a Sheriff sale planned for early August. I got very angry at that time and was put in touch with Cynthia Spirlin who siad she just happened to see the sale date. She claimed she got the sale postponed. Now NONE of the above work there any longer and I am now lost with a new sale date pending. I was told MANY times don't contact CitiBank, they won't help. I was told that Kamili never sent the paperwork to Citi, nothing was ever done. Today Citi called me and asked if I would like to restructure my loan, they made me a very nice offer. I asked the Citi rep if she ever heard of Janian, she said they are NO WHERE in any part of my account and had NO part of the first postponed sale. She said Citi postponed it so they could talk to me.
So, here I sit, paid Janian $2900 and got NOTHING in return. I want my money back, I want to warn others to STAY away from Janian, they are a scam, they turn people over so fast no one has a clue who you are or what you need. They are NOT a alternative! PLEASE don't waste your time with these folks... CALL YOUR bank. It looks like we may be ok, if the bank agrees and I can work the offer, we will save our home NO THANKS to Janian who did NOTHING but scam me out of $2900.
