Two years ago my wife and I canceled a Chase Master Card, and began paying it off.in May of this year I called for a payoff amount and made an online payment that day for the amount I was told.
In July we received a collections letter from Chase saying we were overdue on $12.20 payment and would be turned over to a collections agent if we didn't immediately make payment.
After a call to customer service that was insane, the $12.20 was removed from the account and I was again told the account was closed with a zero balance. Now today I see a bill for $1.50 for "Minimum interest Charge." How can interest be charged on a ZERO balance on a closed account. I have determined that they will not let me reach a closed 0 state on this account so will wait for them to sue me for $1.50. And at that point I will file a counter suit for frivolous lawsuit and publicly show their FRAUD!
