Goldrain Financial Inc. Sent a check in the amount of $4800 to my 84 year old father, telling him that he had won $485,000 in US funds and this check was to help pay the taxes.
The name on the check was New York Life, Box 6916 Cleveland, Ohio 44101-6916. The issuing bank was listed as JP Morgan chase, N.A. Syracuse, NY.
The date was in comic font as was pay to the order of. The signature was not legible. The check was a real looking, including security features.
The letter said that he should contact a claims agent by the name of Frank Robert at 1778-223-8913 and signed by James O'Brain, (maybe O'Brian?) Chief Financial officer (officer not capitalized)
