I have worked as a financial advisor for over 23 years. I have had my share of problems with lead companies; it definitely comes with the territory. What Select Marketing Solutions is doing is not just misrepresenting their product, it is criminal. I spent over four hundred dollars with this company with a promise of fresh leads all surveyed within the past thirty days, the leads were supposed to be within a twenty mile radius of my office and all scrubbed through Federal and State Do Not Call Registry. When the list first arrived I immediately scrubbed it through the registry and eight six percent of my leads came back on the State Do Not Call List. When I called Select Marketing back I got the run around, the person I purchased from was no longer with the company, SURPRISE, SURPRISE I first had the displeasure of speaking with a Michelle she was rude, incompetent, and frankly very nasty, I then spoke to a women by the name of Kenzie, she suggested I work the list because the people had responded to surveys and did not have to be scrubbed against DNC registry because they had requested information, after her co-worker Michelle had just told me it was impossible for that many names to come back on the Do Not Call List. I started on my list after the four hundredth call not one person I actually got to talk to had filled out a survey or wanted any financial information, many numbers were wrong, I had fifty four deceased people! When I called to request my money back I was given excuse after excuse about why it would not be done. Select Marketing Solutions obviously uses blatant lies to sell their product, the fifty four deceased people on my list had not responded to a survey. The manager at Select Marketing tried to say the people were old and probably did not remember requesting information, lie, after lie, after lie.in the end I had to call my credit card company to get the charges reversed, my credit card company told me the tactics the company was using were stalling techniques to try to keep my money. I suggest to anyone that has purchased from this company call the credit card company to reverse the charge and contact the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General of Illinois. Also be very aware of the hefty fines associated with the Do Not Call List these lists are not scrubbed and not accurate, I have better luck with a phone book for free!
