Angel Financial Advisors Group
They contacted me through my CareerBuilder profile. At first, I thought they were legit and did not see any harm in responding back. I was interested in what they had to offer. So, they emailed me bac

This company responded to my profile from one of the job searching websites. They emailed me that I was a likely candidate that fit their one of their job openings. I showed interest by responding back with more information regarding their company, and possible interview. So, they responded back to me with an attached job application and documentation information of their company. I looked up their website and realized they operate offshore or outside the U.S. I thought it was strange. I clicked on their featured news articles about their company and it doesn't even come up. I wanted to see what publication or magazine the articles came from to make sure the company is legit. Then, I looked up names of their staff specifically for Laura Yeoman who emailed me. Her name does not even show up. The website only has one picture of their "supposed" staff members with just their first names. What professional company only includes the first names of their staff knowing they will be seen allover the internet? That was not professional to me. To address your colleagues by their first name on your website, you're better off creating a Face Book page or Myspace page for being so casual. Another thing that bothered me about this company is I could not find a single source on the internet to validate and confirm its legitimacy. Then, here was the dead give away of it being a scam. I looked over their job application and it asks for my banking information. I was like why in the world would they want to know that information? So, I stopped it all together and replied back to Laura that she and her company are a scam. So, be careful you job hunters!!! Be really careful, read the fine print, and if you notice anything odd about the way a website looks for a company... You're probably right! Please I regret letting them know my email existed by responding to them. Don't make that mistake! Look them up first and make sure they're legit!!!
