Countrywide Home Loans
Refinance ripoff Rosemead

I started processing a loan to refinance my mortgage in late June. The loan was preapproved and the loan application was sent to me which I returned on July 21. During my conversation with the loan officer I was told that my loan would closed in August, I was to skip September payment and make my 1st payment in Ocotber.in mid August I did not hear from Countrywide. So I called the office handling my application which was 12701 Fair Lakes Circle, Suite 340, Fairfax, VA. No one could help me. I somhow received the application is mid August which had some discrepancies. It listed the new loan officer, Roger Guiliani. I immediately called Countyrwide and was told that he would not be in until the following week. I waited and call the loan officer who was rude, didn't want to discuss the questions I had, that he was the loan officer and that he did not care what was said to me when I started the loan. I then called the orginial loan officer CA explained to him what had occurred. He called me back and said everything was explained and that the orginial agreement would be followed.

Me like a fool, skipped the September payment to pay other bills. No sooner had I did that I received a phone call stating that my September payment was late. I explain that I was in the process of refinancing. They told me that I had to make a payment.

I called the orginial loan officer and he told me that I "miss-understood him" I had to continue to make my payments until the loan is closed, then I could skip a months payment and make the new loan payment on the following month.

In September, I still had not received any notification on the loan status. I called the Fairfax office, no one again could help me. I then called the CA office, we fould out that my loan application was transfered to the office at 6305 Ivy Lane, Suite 605, Greenbelt, MD. The CA loan officer got on a three-way with the MD office. The now new loan officer stated that she had just received the loan (October) and would get right on it. Which she has.

Last night I received a phone call from Countrywide stating that my Ocotober payment is past due. I related to them that is is not past due, that according to the statment I have until October 15th before any late fees are accessed.

I need help. This is a VA loan I am processing with no out of pocket, yet I had already spent over $200 and now they are telling me that the loan amount is more than orginial agreed upon.
