I received a charge for 139.95 on my credit card, from MWI Homeworks. Not remembering a company by this name, I did a quick internet-search for their name. All the hits came back with rip-off and scam in the title. I knew I did not authorize this charge, but I could not figure out how this company got my credit info.
I called the MWI Homeworks and after some hassle they agreed to refund the charge within 3 4 business days. I also called my credit card company to complain, and was my attitude changed from irritated to IRRIATE when I found out that MWI Homeworks was a 3rd party department for my credit card company. Bank one / first usa, my own credit card company, was responsible for giving out my credit info. After talking to a supervisor I got the issue resolved. I found that a card member could request that they be taken off any 3rd party solicitations. I recommend to everyone, do this asap.
