Rob Sanders of New Jersey advertised on eBay and around town that he was looking for partners to buy and resell real estate. I was just supposed to apply for the loan and then he would take care of the sale, since the property was already renovated. He was supposedly an expert at rent to own and helped people get their credit fixed while renting so they could buy the property.
I had a contract that stated I would not be responsible for the management of the property, I would not be responsible for losses beyond what I was paid upfront, and my credit would be protected. I was also guaranteed that he would "buy me out" or somehow get the mortgage in his name if it did not sell in 15 months.
After more than 17 months, the mortgage is still in my name, I cannot afford to keep the unrented house, my credit will be ruined once the property is foreclosed and I have lost thousands of dollars so far.
Rob Sanders has disappeared about four months ago. Apparently he even rented the place without my knowledge and took the money. Oh, I am in Las Vegas and cannot keep track of or manage a house in New Jersey.
Do NOT do business with Rob Sanders! He is a scammer and has lawsuits against him. If you are doing any deal that sounds like this, make sure the person is not Rob Sanders working with someone else or using a different name.
