SPRINT and NCO
This my story
I had a Sprint phone for my son and a broadband card for my Laptop, my bill was $120 dollars a month.in the end of the summer of 2009 SPRINT stopped sending my statements of account in the mail and at the time I did not notice that when I was paying my bills online through my bank. My sons phone was turned off after 1 and a half missed payments and he let me know that his phone no longer was working. I called SPRINT and the CSR told me that I had signed up for E billing online and that is why I had not received any mailed statements of account to my home and that I had built up $200 in late fees. I had never viewed my account online and had never signed up for E billing. The CSR then told me that they would not charge me the late fees after a 30 min battle over the phone, I told the rep that it is no secret that a new tactic has been implemented by companies to generate income is to not send out a bill or 2 and to charge late fees and most customers will pay in fear of getting a bad credit report. I told the rep that I did not want to do business with them any more if they were to implement such tactics and I wanted to cancel early and I will pay all penalties that were due. After 30 more mins I was able to get cancelled with a final bill of $329. I never received a final bill from SPRINT but received a call from NCO for the amount the CSR gave me from NCO which was $329 and NCO demanded it immediately and they had no account number or specifics of my account. SPRINT has not sent me any more bills but NCO sent me one statement for $329 and keeps calling me saying that Sprint is charging me $120 a month late fees on top of the $329 that I owe. NCO is demanding that I pay in full with a credit card, I am currently sending $50 dollars a month and they are cashing the checks. I am going to continue to send this amount until I have paid NCO $400 dollars, that should cover any collection fees. NCO is rude to say the least and if SPRINT deals with rude business's then I am glad to no longer do business with them for their greedy tactics.
