I called WoodForest National Bank's customer service dept. Approxiametely on the 19th of November concerning a check that was sent through on my account on the 17th of November. I informed the rep. That my wife and I had been out of town on that day and I had no internet access during the time the check was sent through. The rep asked me if I would like to file a fraud/dispute claim. I told her yes and she informed me that the necessary documents would be mailed to me in about 3 business days. After recieving the documents I reviewed the information and signed in the appropriate area. My wife, a former BB&T employee reviewed them as well. We sealed the documents in the return envelope and placed them back in the mail box.
I have just went to my account, which is suppossed to be closed pending further investigation, and found that I have an amount of (-$200.90) due to continuous overdraft fees and two $34 overdraft fees along with the unauthorized ($19.63) check fee that was ran through by (777saveclub.com). I am being charged a continuous overdraft fee of ($5.00) each day until this investigation is finalized.By the time that is done I will owe Woodforest NAtl' Bank anywhere between ($300-$500) for a (19.93) check that I never authorized! Somebody needs to close this so-called financial institution that is ripping people off with a so-called free checking acct. That charges you a ($9.95) debit card fee every month! Who charges for a free acoount! If someone can help in this matter, I would greatly appreciate it, as I am a disabled veteran who has a wife and three children to support and I can't do that while I am being ripped off by this fake bank affiliated with Wal-mart!!
