Complaint / Review
Litton Loan Servicing, LLP
Channing Jeter and any other representative that works for them. Litton Loan destroyed my credit

I "googled" some info on Litton and was shocked to learn that I have been having problems w / Litton just like what seems to be hundreds of other families that sent in complaints to the "usacomplaints.com.in May 09, I applied for a modification w / Litton.in June I called to find out the status on the mod and was told by a Channing Jeter that I was approved and to not worry about paying my June & July pymt and that my new pymt amount would kick in for August with a new fixed rate and from there I'd be on a 3 month trail. He went on to say if the 3 mth trail works out I'd be placed on the new pymt/rate throughout the rest of my loan. I never received an invoice for August. When I called their office at the end of July I was told by another rep that I was denied and needed to make a pymt ASAP. Keep in mind, I never received a denial letter nor a phone call. I have also since learned through other sources that Litton was not even officially participating in loan modifications until August 09... No wonder I was denied. Litton then unfairly marked me 60 days past due. Unfair because it was the misguidance of their rep as to why I didn't pay for 2 mths as I think any consumer would do when they are getting what they feel as "correct info" from someone who works for the company. I made a pymt in August because I was threatened that my property would go into foreclosure. Even after making the pymt and pleading w / them to remove the past due since I was misguided, they refused. Only saying that Mr. Jeter spoke to soon. I have been w / Litton for 5 yrs, never once have I been late (and I can prove this because Litton so kindly sent me a pymt history that shows I have not 1 late pymt) until all of this happened. I pulled my credit report so that I could see the damage & not only did they mark me past due, they also placed a "in dispute" remark on my credit for May 09 - stating to me that "it's not a bad thing. It just means there was a discrepancy in your loan pymts". This is unacceptable. That may not be a bad thing for them but it is for me when some other creditors are looking at my report. I don't have the money to go back and catch up for the months I was told not to pay because I used that money on other bills and now they are forcing me out of my home. I can never speak w / a supervisor and the rep's don't care either way. I don't believe Litton knows the meaning of "Modification". Seems as though they are doing more sabotaging to customer's than helping them. I have made disputes w / the 3 credit bureaus, Better Bus. Bureau & Consumer Affairs. They deny customer's for insufficient income but isn't that why a modification is suppose to be helpful? I was all set to pay my mortgage and struggle until my modification came through, but once their rep told me I didn't have to pay 2 mths I went with that. I trusted that he knew what he was talking about as would any consumer. I have been loyal to Litton but I have not gotten that same treatment. They've successfully hurt my credit rating/score and I am deeply upset by this. I have sent in countless letters with no replies. Guess I shouldn't expect the "bad guys" to see things from my point of view. I've decided to do a "short sale" and if that doesn't work a "deed in lieu" because there is no way I can come up w / $5000 to catch up on pymts. I wish complaint could help but if not, at least maybe my story, like the others, can be heard and something can be done about the unfair practices of this company. Thanks.
