Buyer Beware,
Cedar Rapids, IA Loan Officer, Nancy Wymore
After our initial contact, her professionalism was mediocre at best, and I was lied to countless times throughout the home buying process.
After I had decided on a property, I put down $500 earnest money and another $500 to her for "disclosed fees." After my checks were cashed, customer service was obviously of no concern.
I was lied to about my closing date on countless occasions. The loan was to be closed by June 6. (and every week there after) but conveniently didn't close until almost August.
Without going into great detail, Nancy elaborated with an abundance of lies, did not return phone calls or emails, made unfulfilled promises, and continuously criticized my financial situation and credit score (in which she approved in the first place) when she couldn't think of any other answer. I was told repeatedly about how long she had been in the business and her years of experience. Unfortunately I wasn't paying to hear her success stories, but for financial expertise, and for her to live up to any of the literature that she provided.
I decided that I would keep my anger to myself and let by gones be by gones until a month later when they had not taken care of a debt that delayed closing for 2 weeks because of the retrieval of proper payoff documentation. The debt was to be paid with the money that I put down according to the LO.
Long story short, a month later I received numerous calls from the "collecting party" implying that the debt had not been paid. When I contacted Nancy about this, she replied that it was "my debt" and that "i should have the money to pay it", and also implied that there may have been changes in the HUD form prior to closing that I failed to noticed, but signed the paperwork accordingly.
This is important to me that my friends, family, colleagues, and local affiliates are aware of the individual and her poor business practices.
