In the mid 1990s my wife and I applied for a Capital One credit card. One of the stipulations of receiving the card was that we join the American Fair Credit Association. We paid a $30 fee to join and agreed to have a $5 membership fee withdrawn from our checking account monthly. A few years later we cancelled the credit card and have been trying to get AFCA to stop withdrawing the monthly fee ever since. There must be some way of getting these people to stop the withdrawal.
