I am a Real Estate Broker and a Mortgage Broker. My client has been pre-approved with our Lender and has received a DU approval, has a 791 FICO score and is putting a down payment of 50% of the purchase price, but the listing agent on the property is forcing my client to get pre-approved with their Lender, Prospect mortgage or they will not accept my clients offer. Something wrong with this picture. I honestly think Prospect Mortgage is giving the listing agent a kick back which is definitely against the law and DRE should look into their work ethics. They are definitely causing my client to give out his personal information against his better judgement, only because he wants to put an offer on a property.
