IPayment, Cardpayment Solutions
Deducted $9.95 from checking wihout my consent or knowledge

I too have been paying for a service to read my statement online, which I receive monthly anyway. I thought this was a charge from my credit union as timing coincided with the merger of c.U.S. I had never heard of ipayment as I signed up with Cardpayment Solutions. We were forced to close our business in April and I just received a letter stating I owed them money through June. I called them to find out who they were, that is when I found out they own Cardpayment Solutions (and many other such processors it seems). They claim they sent me a letter with a statement saying I would be charged $9.95, had to cancel before 30 days. The only letter I have says welcome to IAccess which says nothing about charges, time limits, etc. They also claim that in my contract it says they have the option to make changes with 30 days notice. I checked my contract, no such wording. I told the rep even if it said that a change would be with existing fees and services, I don't believe that includes adding services and assuming it's ok to rob my bank account! I challenged the legality of this "arrangement" and she said it was all fine. What a bunch of crooks. I notified Cardpayment Solutions that we had to close (again same company) the month before we closed, iPayment said they were still charging me because they only accept written notice, then why did Cardpayment get the picture but iPayment didn't? I was accused of being unprofessional when I responded less than calmly, they want to talk about what's professional? They know how to run a my business too, "I should have read the letter", "how could I not notice the deduction" (what letter), they shouldn't assume anything where my bank account is concerned, why are they in business, deceitful a... Holes. They clearly take advantage of busy, overworked owners. I suggested that many owners hand reports over directly to their accountants and rely on them to reconcile, nope, shouldn't do that according to them, read every last tiny bit of print in that envelope as soon as it comes, what jerks!
