Castlepoint Lending Group
Scam, total ripoff

Castlepoint lending group a scam. Also do not fill out forms online that service you to find loans if they ask for you bank info.

I filled out a few applications with service that match you with loan services that will help you if you have bad credit most of them being payday loans. I was contacted via email by Michele Wallace of Castlepoint Lending Group saying I have been approved for a personal loan. I called Michele Wallace and was told I was approved for an 8,000 loan. She gave me all the information including the fact that I had to make a collateral payment. I can't remember how much it was I think it was over $900.00. I told her that I would call her back. I Googled the site to see if was legit. I could not find any complaints (at first). So I was thinking, okay, so I don't need 8,000 so I wonder how much I would need for collateral for less I'm thinking $1500.00. I called her back and she told me the minium was 5,000. I told her okay and she said she would email me the terms and conditions and the contract. I read them and it seemed like a good deal and the collateral payment seemed to me a price I would have to pay for having bad credit and I was in a tight spot at the time. I just spent money getting my car fixed only to have it break down again and I was broke. After I read the terms and conditions I called Michele Wallace back to complete the final steps. I was told I had to wire money through Western Union to Jermayne James. I did question this and was told he was the private lender. I even questioned why I had to wire the money. (The light bulb should of went off. I really am not usually this naive.) So I thought about it and thought about it and I really needed some immediate cash and even though my mind was telling me this sounds strange. I felt desperate. I am the sole providor for my household and my husband it disabled and we are having a hard time getting his disability check. We really needed some money. So I did I sent the money. I called her gave her the western union tracking number and was told I would receive the money it 24 hours. I waited for 24hrs exactly and when there was no money I immediately called Michele Wallace and was told that the lender did a further credit check. (which wasn't true) and I need to pay insurance the sum of 900.00. I told her that I did not have that kind of money and had sent everything I had and she told me she would contact the lender and she what she could do. I called her back and she told me that he would go down to $725.00. I her told that I didn't want the loan and just wanted my money back and she said that she would do a refund process I should have my money back in 1-2 weeks. I did some further research and that's when I found Sue's report and realized that I had been scammed. Well it been 1-2 weeks and I have not received any check.

Sue, did you get your money back???

I felt like a fool. I keep asking why did you this. I never pay for things that I find online unless I know it's legit. I am avid about reading terms and conditions and fine print. How did I get sucked into giving a stranger all the money I had.in times of desperation you loose your head and make bad decisions. You live and you learn.
