We received this letter in the mail stating that we have been approved for a mortgage rate reduction. They provided our date of purchase, amount borrowed, and the mortgage type.
In addition, they included an "Approved short property report". AKA "Residential Field Report" which summarized our property status. This form looked legitimate, and the letter as well. But, when I attempted to verify their validity with BBB, they didn't appear to exist.
How else can I verify if they are in fact a legitimate organization?
