I am a Deemed Resident of Canada, but live in the USA as a permenent resident of the USA. I married a US Citizen in 2004. I am a retired Forensic Auditor / Accountant / Tax consultant in Canada. For Two biggiest Unions in Canada and USA. I have a house and 7 lots paid for in full in Canada.

Here we go... I have two American Express cards in Canada and a credit Score of 834 (best is 866) Card one unlimited Credit and card two 10,000.
I made application for an American Express Card (USA) and was rejected because I did not have a credit score in the USA... Well I know, that's what I'm trying to do. Chase turned me down too for a 500.00 limit. That's only 500 dollars gee..
The American Express card I wanted was for only1,000 dollars credit and was turned down... Am I really a risk wow yes my wife could sign for me but I want my own Credit card to build up a Credit score.
Next I phoned the US number to apply on line, so I phone and explained the Canadian Cards and assets etc. I was told very firmly you don't qualify, what I don't for a 1,000 dollar credit card... What our pensions in a year will be over 140,000 dollars (pensions) I could not believe my ears, but that's what happened. Fine American Express, but I really am not a criminal I'm 65 years old and a resposible person... And so is my wife. Thank you for nothing US American Express (Global card)
