Rapid Filing Services, LLC rapidtax.com EFiled Wrong Return, Fraudently Sent Return I didn't agree to, Altered my return Woodside New York

I was seeking an affordable and reliable way to file my return for tax year previously I had used other online tax filing preparers with no problem, however in this case I have most certainly come across a negligible, neglectful, deceitful and outright fraudulent company.

Specifically, I my case the following sequence of events has resulted in rapidtax submitting a fraudulent return to the IRS, fraudulent meaning that I NEVER agreed to this return, the following sequence of events outline my problem with rapidtax.com:

1. On 4/15 I signed up with rapidtax.com, I prepared and submitted an initial return to the IRS thru them, I used rapditax's online tool to prepare and submit my return. On this return I claimed my son as a full dependant. 2. Several days later I was notified via email from rapdtax.com that my return has been rejected by the IRS, this was due to my ex-wife claiming my son. So I attempted t fix my return, however when I went to fix my return rapidtax.com's homepage had a Submit button with no other descriptive text, I clicked it in an attempt to fix my return, well rapidtax.com RE-submitted the same rejected return! So now I had to wait again. 3. My re-submitted return was, rejected again (of course) 4. I now am able to adjust the return correctly, I now modify my return adjusted based on the following changed, a. Because I am a single parent, I can still file as HeadOfHouseHold b. Because my ex-wife claimed my son as a dependant I couldn't claim him as a dependant, c. I CAN however claim my son as a Qualifying Child for Head of Household d. My Refund went from approx 6000 to 4000. I adjust my return E-Sign the return and submit it, 5. Several days later I get message from Rapidtax.com stating: a. If you select to not claim your son as a dependent your refund will reduce to $2,618. This new refund amount is still under the filing status of head of household. Please advise if you would like for us to go ahead and e-file this way. Thank you,

I respond by stating: Efile my return as-is,

6. Now here is my complaint: a. Rapidtax.com then CHANGES my return without my consent, removes my son as a qualifying child and e-files the changed return b. I didn't agree to this return and I never signed e-signed or agreed to it! C. Rapidtax.com removed my deductions without my consent d. Rapidtax.com altered my return without my consent or knowledge e. When I finished the adjusted return I signed a return that had the exemptions described in 4 above. After rapidtax altered my return they removed all of my exemptions. F. My e-signed return had a refund of 4000, it has now been altered and I am now only getting 2100 because of Rapidtax.com g. Rapidtax.com never ever answers any phones, I have tried the following customer service lines: i. 877-2897580 ii. (718) 779-8240 h. They do not at all understand the concept tax laws for single parents, they have no knowledge whatsoever regarding Head of Household: i. Rapditax.com's online program doesn't provide an easy top use interface to defined a qualifying child so you can claim Head of Household without claiming there child as a dependant exemption. Ii. The rapditax.com customer service staff is of no help at all, they are brief abrupt, rude and do not want to help a user at all. They only want and wish for a user to hurry up as fast as they can.
