Fifth Third Bank in some of their advertisements speaks about personal service. Recently they withdrew funds out of my daughters and my account because of a loan that wife and I owe. There was not a warning or call or notification before the withdrawal. Because of the funds drafted, it caused other checks to be overdrawn. The cost of the fees has been over $100.00 plus the original amount pulled from my daughters account. I spoke to the local office in Maiden and asked for the original docs we signed on the loan and was told several days later we would have them (over a week). I was still being charged for fees during this time.
I have been making payments on this loan for seven years and never 30 days late. This was the first time I went 31 days and on the 31st day that was when this happen without any notice. I have asked for the correction to be made on the fees and I will make the regular payment. I was told that would not happen.
This in no way is Personal Service. Just False Advertising. I quess the bank needs this money worse than I. I told Fifth Third bank I had been out of work for 8 months. We are closing the account and suggest all to do the same.
