I waatched a infomercial back in june of 1998 for the Internet Toolbox which has being promoted by the actor who appeared on the tool show. THey made everything sound easy and you needed only to send $49.95 and you would have an internet site up and running capable of doing business on the internet in a matter of hours.
I send the $49.95 and some salesman name Rudy Kranwinkel called me an convinced me to shell out another $4000 plus over a 3 to 4 year lease of a merchant account which could be paid back each month at a rate of $120/month. He promised me that the company Themeware would show me how to market my site.
I signed the non-cancellable lease and my website was setup within 2 weeks but it was very slow to access. When i tried to reach rudy for help he suggested that I buy into other products to help me build me business. After 2 or so years of nothing working, Themeware decided that they would go out of business leaving me hold the bag with a third party lease which was non-cancellable.
I just finished paying off the $4400 in march. I tried to reached themeware but all of its phones and websites are not operational. That's my story of being ripped off by these so-called Infomercial secrets to success stories.
