We wrote Senators Boxer and Feinstein in California. We received a phone call from Senator Boxer's office within 3 days and her staff said they would research this. All we got from Senator Feinstein's office was a form letter basically thanking us for our views and they look forward to considering them when working on legislation, blah blah, etc.
Not one word acknowledging the situation with Fairbanks, and we included the web site, Senator Mikulski's investigation, WBAL, KCRA in Sacramento, and HUD, etc. Perhaps our elected officials have more to do than actually help their constituents.
When I called Feinstein's office I was told to write another letter to her. Guess it takes more than one to get anything. My response was we already have written, and Fairbanks pulls the same stunt, write another letter, make another phone call, etc.
Also, after speaking with a HUD investigator I was led to believe that if you have a conventional loan they aren't able to help, only Fannie Mae and FHA loans under their jurisdiction. I don't know if this is true but am trying to get the correct information regarding this.
Maybe everyone needs to call the Senators from Maryland and let them know some of our state senators are not doing anything, at least that's my impression.
