Heres my situation, I received a message to call the Cambece Law, which I did, got a voice mail, left a message, they called back, and preceded to tell me that they were representing CACH, which had bought an account from HSBC. I have not been notified in writting by any of the named parties. Yes, I do have an account that was written off by HSBC, but how do I know that they actually sold it to these people, I have pulled my credit report and neither CACH or Cambece are on it. Are they suppose to notify me in writting? Also, I returned on call, earlier in the morning before 8:00, does that give them the right to call me before 8:00? Because they called me one morning at 7:30. Which on one of the first calls, I told the man that I would check into it, I gave him no more information than that, because I had not heard of this company and was not aware that the account had been sold. I've been trying to decide if I need to send a validation letter even though I haven't received anything from them. Does anyone have any suggestions?
