I was contacted by Benjamin Stone from Metro Lending Group on December 13., saying I was approved for $5000 loan. All I had to do was pay $910.00 upfront and the funds would be in my account the next day. I had him fax me the contract and told him I would look it over. I did all the research I could do on the company except check out this website.
Anyways, I paid them on 12/23 and it was by money gram to a Katie Shore in Edmonton, Canada, called Ben back gave him all the information he requested after the transfer was done and was advised that the funds will be in my account the next day. Well, the next day came no money was in my account.
I instead received a call from James Hogan or Holden it was had to understand him with his heavy accent. Stating that due to Article VIII in the contract they ran a credit assestment and I needed to pay another $910.00 to have the funds released to me. I told them I couldn't do that. He then became irate with me, telling me I needed to borrow the money from family memebr or friend. And said, some other mean things.
Anyways, desperate, I did borrow the money. But before I sent it, I read the money gram form and realized this was probably a scam and not a good idea. Needless to say, I did some more research and did not like what I found. I called James back at told him that I thought they were scamming me and I started asking him why am I sending the money to Canada when the business is out of New Jersey.
Just really started to ask alot of questions.in the end I ask for my money back. He became verey irate with me and stated a few nasty things. Just shows his bad customer service. Advise me that won't happen until January 20th. I stated that is fine.
What is disturbing to me, after being on this site is the different amount offer to othe people and money that had to be paid out. How people are getting different location to send the money to. So my advice is if you post a complaint on this site do so as well with better business bureau. I am single mom and this case has hurt me more than help.
I don't care how bad your credit no one deserves this kind of treatment. If anyone has ever had good business with this company please let me know. Right now, my hope is with the BBB and I hope to indeed get my money back.
