Annoying rude calls for credit card 'service'

For about 3 months I have been getting phone calls that are automated. Most of the time they are on my message machine, but I have gotten to a few of them live. The message is about lowering interest on my credit card; I can press #1 to speak to an account manager, or #2 to remove my name from further calls. I have hit #2 a few times, but the calls keep coming.

About 10 days ago I hit #1 and talked to someone, and he said with my low balance on my credit cards their program was not suitable for me. I thought that would stop the calls.

Today I got another call, pressed #1, and waited about 8 minutes until someone answered. I started out by saying the call had gotten me out of bed, and she then hung up.

I have called the phone number that shows up on caller ID, and that is a non-working number. I found an 800 number, but that is automated and they want my account number, OR, my full Social Security number. Ha! Yes, I am on the Do Not Call List.

They should not have called me even once, then when I "opt out" they don't honor their word, and they are very rude. There can be nothing good about them. I'm not sure what the pitch is, be it to get existing identification and bank information, or to sell a bogus pre-paid card, or just what, but it can not be good.
