I was contacted by them for a $15,000 loan. They needed $1500 collateral, and initially, I thought it was a bad idea, but then thought, well, this could help me out. Lesson 1: always go with your first instinct. Then, I didn't get the money. They asked for a $900 payment for "insurance" — they needed that as assurance. And they faxed me a letter assuring me they'd deposit funds in 1 hour. I sent the $900 — no money (surprise). Day three — they said they had to collect $1000 for taxes, I was like what?! No, thanks for the scam, hope you can use my $2400 more than I can. They got defensive and basically said I was rude, blah, blah, blah — I'm rude, but it's okay to steal people's money.
