I received a letter from SCA in July requesting a payment of $1101.10 for a debt due to Centerco Properties. I wrote a letter to SCA and Centerco explaining I never received the initial bill from Centerco and was taken aback that I was sent to a collection agency so soon. I agreed that I owed Centerco the $847.00 that was sent to me in the mail July 13. SCA said I have to pay them $275.00 monthly, I explained and put in writing that I had other financial obligations, and could they accept $100. Dan Joseph told me no, I had to pay or they would garnsih my checks. I sent a complaint to BBB, asking why I had to pay the $254.10 over the balance due, and after going back and forth with Centerco, and SCA they never answered why that amount was charged. I received the last agreement from Centerco through BBB to pay the balance due of $847, but when SCA called me to make arrangements to pay they insisted on $200.00 a month with the $254.10 added. I agreed to pay Centerco's $847.00 and that should be all that I am responsible for. I have been paying them the $200 monthly as SCA insisted it had to be taken out of my checking account. I feel this is unfair to pay this additional fee, as the agreement was for $847.00 and why couldn't they accept the $100. Monthly. This has caused a huge financial impact on me as I relayed to them initially.
