Today I received a "Notice of Termination of Card Program" like the others. I immediately called the 1-800 number listed on the bottom of the letter. I too was on hold for 20 - 30 minutes. Arthur informed me that "THE MANAGEMENT" decided to close this program due to the current economical situation. Of course he stressed the importance of paying my bill on time and that I would still be responsible for the monthly account fee and annual fees. How can they charge the fees if there is no longer a program? I will file with the Attorney General's office on Monday when they open.
As a side note, you might want to put a note on your credit report of what is going on with this account because this will be listed on your credit report as 'closed by guarantor' which looks bad for those of us who were trying to improve our credit scores.
