Ocwen federal bank
Interest & insurance rip-off

1) I got this home loan at 9%, at the time it was 2% above prime with a 2 year varible rate. I was told this ment that every 2 years my interest rate would change to 2% above prime. This was 4 years ago & interest is now in the low 4% brackets. However, I am still receiving letters from Ocwen Federal Bank that my interest rate remains 9%.???

2) My note is due on the 1st of the month and past due on the 17th of the month. On January 9th they call me at work to harass me about my January payment. What up with that? According to my calender, and their billing statement, payment is not past due yet.

3) My homeowners insurance policy renewed on 8/23/02 and my insurance company sent the certificate of insurance to my original leinholder, New Century Mortgage (who was bought out by Ocwen). It took me a till the middle of Oct 02, but Ocwen got their certificate. On my January 03 statement, Ocwen is billing me 510.00 for insurance that they received a certificate for in October. They have created an Escrow account that is no part of my original mortgage nor that I have signed for.

I received a letter dated 12/6/02 stating that they have cancelled my insurance as of 9/26/02 & any unearned premiums paid will be refunded. Question is... 1: why should I be charged for any insurance, the certificate shows no laps...

Why am I being charged from 8/23/02 thru 9/26/02 when I had proof of coverage else where. 2: why didn't Ocwen notify and contact my insurance company when the buy-out with New Century took place, why should this have been my problem... I wasn't involved in the buy-out, only victimized!
