I constantly submitted documentation from my physician showing where I had been working so hard at my previous job that my health reasons had hindered me from being able to constantly work 60-70 hours a week. She stated that I could only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. When hired, I was given the option of working overtime not demanded too. I had already explained that to accept that position mandatory overtime was not something I could do and agreed upon then. Due to this being a problem to my new supervison who wanted me to work anyway, it was causing me to have more migraines and seizures. The seizures were due to a car accident that I was in a year prior to taking the job. Both problems are usually caused by a lack of sleep and stress, which this was a very stressful work environment for me. I had a severe migraine that lasted a month and was terminated shortly after returning to work. I received a severence package and unemployment benefits for a year, yet the fund were all received over a six month period. So as of January 07 my benefit account was depleted and that claim was denied. This denial I understand, I used the unemployment information because my business was not making any money during this time.
I started working from home because I also suffer from short term memory loss. With the price of gas and where I live it made no sense for me to drive to far from home for no money, so I became an independent contractor and worked from home. While I worked for various companies, I was considered self-employed. Now they did not cover self-employment either. I use these months because this is when I started seeing a return on all of my expenditures since December were March 07-June 07 when my mother became sick and was unable to care for herself. During this time, I was doing what I could to earn money. Working 30-56 hours per week, I worked sometimes everyday that week 8 hours for 7 days. The poorer my mother's health got, mine would also decline due to the stress, the less I would work, until June 07.
When I was approved for disability in March 08 and began receiving funds, I refiled another claim for benefits in April 08. Again I was denied. I asked for my money back since I could get nothing from the money that I had been paying for two years. August 08. I was advised by Richard a manager to send a grievence to Disputes CSI but nothing could be done about my benefits on my two cards or refunds.
