I contacted Direct Fianncial Savings from getting an email message. I was told that they could reduce my in cc interest rate and they charged my cc $698.00. I was told that the cost would come out of the savings in interest over the next year.
After not receiving the reduction I was told that they would refund my money. They did not do a refund and when I called I was told that they sent the refund and for me to wait a day or so. After a month's wait I still did not recieve refund I callled back. No one took my callls then.
I contacted the attorney general in California. His office told me that they could do nothing but I should contact consuner group in SC, my home state. Consumer group in referred me to consumer group in California who did nothing for me. I contacted a local attorney who looked into the my issue and told me that they could bring the party to court but I would have to be present to state my case. As this was not financially prudent becasue the expense of getting transportaion and lodging in California would exceed the $698.00 I was forced to eat the cost of the failed attempt to reduce my cc rate.
