I was more than distressed to see my interest rate double for no reason. I have always paid way more than what's due and always at least a week before the payment was due. My interest rate is now 72% of my minimum payment due. I have carried a balance and don't begrudge them making a profit, but since my rate is now at 18% and the Federal Reserve rate is so low, I find this a really stupid way to do business. They've lost a good customer. The customer service rep kept telling me they were well within their rights to change the rate whenever and to whatever they wanted to. Well, go ahead. I won't be paying it. And every fiber of my being will make sure they get as little of my money as possible so I'm concentrating all my efforts into paying them off ASAP. I would strongly encourage anyone thinking of a credit card to read the complaints because I didn't think a reputable company would do this.
