This is the second time I have received a phone call on my cell phone from "CBCS" within the past year, claiming that they are "trying to collect a debt." The operator - whose name is impossible to identify - leaves a 1-800 number and a "reference number." To my knowledge, I have no unpaid debt, and I always pay all my bills on time. I will not even call these people back due to what I have read here. I am going to request a free, legitimate credit report to determine if, indeed, I do owe something. And, I will block this number from my cell phone.
