I was searching for a business that I wanted to start and found a link to Business Consultants. I contacted them For information on what they had to offer.
My information request was returned by a phone call. I was told that there would be a fee of $2500-$3500 for preparation. Additionally there would be a loan issue fee of 1%-3.9%. I would be responsible for sending in a $1500 retainer fee. Which they wanted fed exed overnight. I sent this $1500 retainer fee in February.
After I sent my money in, I was thrown over to Denise Kirkland, who informed me that she had received payment, and that it would be non-refundable after we started. She sent me the requirements for Phase 1. I never finished Phase 1 or sent it back! Due to an illness by my daughter and the costs, of that, my business was not going to take place at this time. I needed to stay employed for insurance reasons and a steady income I knew I could count on.
I tried contacting Denise Kirkland several times to try to get my $1500 retainer fee. She has never returned my phone calls or e -mails. A Theresa Koehler-Protenhauer had e maied me just to inform me that they would not give me my $1500 retainer fee back.
Even though no paperwork had even been started! All they have is my e-mail address with no personal information to "get started" on Phase 1.
Here I am STILL trying to get my money back. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and haven't heard anything back from them yet! I wonder if I will ever get my money back???!!!
I would like to thank Dave from Hope Mills, North Carolina... As I used most of his letter due to having the same experience as he did with Buisness Consultants and Denise Kirkland. Godd luck on getting your money back too Dave!
