We were unable to refinance our existing home and had to let it go back to the owner. We found Joe Paradiso with JJ Property Group who advertised they buy homes for people with bad credit but with a good job. After searching the BBB, multiple web sites including this one we decided to go ahead and fill out the required paperwork and was approved for financing. We met with the local rep and the realtor both seemed fine and sent out $3,000.00 to Joe.
We found a house within our budget and told the rep and the realtor. Time went buy and nothing happened. We kept calling the local rep until he told us that he quit Joe because he felt they were not following up with the customers he found them. Well we worked with the local realtor then. The realtor would put in the paperwork but would not hear back from Joe. The seller decided to accept another offer since it came with the ernest money. This happened 4 times, and each time Joe would have an excuse. The price was too high, the investors had the paperwork but did not send it to him in time, etc. Finally we told him this is enough, either we buy the final home or we want our money back. A contract was sent to Joe to sign, but he did not complete it correctly, would not send the necessary paperwork to the title company and never sent the money for the inspection, etc.
During this process Joe went on a honeymoon, unknown to us with our money, and could not be reached so his partner Jeff was handling the process. After numerous telephone calls Joe finally came back from his honeymoon and would send the ernest money to the title company. Well surprise he did send them the $500.00 but told them the investors would send the final contract. That contract never arrived at the title company. Finally the seller had had enough waiting and said no more and kept Joe's ernest money.
Tired of messing with Joe, we requested a refund which Joe stated, in writing, he would send it back to us in 2-3 weeks. It is now going on 8 weeks and no refund. The one time that Joe would answer his text message was to say that he understood our disappointment and that he was working to get SOME of our money back along with others. We told him we wanted ALL of our money back not some. We have not heard from him again. Neither he nor Jeff will answer the phones, e-mails nor text messages. It is as if they are hiding.
When Joe was told that if we did not get our money back he would be reported to every agency and website he stated that if "we were going to slander his company then he would go from there". We are reporting them to any and all agencies, web sites and law officials that we can. We have written documentation from him stating we would receive our money, and all the emails that were sent to him and any he sent us. Run from this company and anything to do with either Joe Paradiso and Jeff Schlabowske.
