I started working with Gibson Trust 2 years ago. They made big promises about lowering our intrest rates to 3-4% and saving us money. They never said they would keep the first month's payment as their "fee." So we lost $892.00 up front.By the time we figured this out, we were a month behind on all our credit cards. Over the next 2 years, we still kept paying as much as 17.99% APR and when we asked when the low rates were coming, we were told "it's still in negotiations." Two years worth of negotiations?! We wanted to switch to a different company, but that would mean starting all over and losing another up-front payment, as we have found apparently this is how all credit consolidation companies do business.
Then in November we got an e-mail saying that effective immediately they could no longer do ACH withdrawals as they had been, and we needed to send them November's payment in the form of a cashier's check. They would not return phone calls or e-mails when I attempted to inquire about this sudden change.
I sent $1236.00 by cashiers check and my creditors have not received any of it. I've found Gibson has MOVED with no forwarding address, and their phone is in a continuous loop so you can't talk to anyone or leave a message.
I've notified the BBB and Pompano Beach Police and would be very interested in joining a class-action suit against these a*holes.
