Countrywide Home Loans
Home Owners Insurance Scam

In Feb of 08 my home was broken into. The door busted open and sinks and toilet were taped up. Strange! I almost called the police but nothing seemed to be missing and a phone number was on the tape. I was very distraught over the break in so my daughter called the number for me the next day to find out what this was all about. Countrywide was the culprit. They paid someone to break in. I am self employed in the construction field and due to the mortgage problems that are now facing us, customers are afraid to move forward on projects. On Dec. 15th 07 every single one of my projects postponed until further notice leaving me unable to make my mortgage payment on time. I called Countrywide and worked out an arrangement so I thought.in Feb. They broke into my home because they claim "I have abandoned my home". I did not get a notice, a phone call or a note on my door to inform me they were going to take this action. I have not abandoned my home! They call and leave messages at this property. They send letters and bills to this property to this day. If I have abandoned this property why send correspondence there? Not only is my home at this property so is my office and workshop. It is very obvious that I have not "abandoned my home". I do not know how they came up with this conclusion? I had been working on my plumbing and heating, which the insurance company knew of, when I went to turn the water back on I also discovered they had taken out the water meter and removed a foot and a half of pipe. I must now collect rain water to flush the toilet and must eat, shower, launder at my daughters. It is now June all of this has been going on since Feb. No matter how much I talk to Countrywide I get nowhere. You know the scoop, shifted to this department and that department, put on hold. To top it off they sent a letter to my insurance company (Sentry) to inform them that I had "abandon my home". Sentry has now terminated my policy and sent the balance to my home. Hmmm why send it there if I am not there? My insurance with Sentry was 454.00 a year; Countrywide now wants me to pick up their insurance at 6,000.00 a year because I am a risk apparently because I've been accused of "abandoning my home". What a scam they are trying to pull! I have tried to refinance with another company but Countrywide has made it impossible for me to do this. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trades Commission they suggested that I file a police report. I have filed a complaint to State of Wisconsin Dept. Of Banking and Financial Institutions and I will continue to file complaints until Countrywide resolves this. I just want to know if I am not at my home where am I? Perhaps this is all just a bad dream and I'm really on some beach in Jamaica sipping an umbrella drink.
